We are all familiar with the say "It takes a village..." and it really rings true! For example - I am just one person with only 24 hours in my day. Within that time frame, I can only do what I, myself, am capable of. I do not have any supernatural powers to slow down time in order to get more done. The same principle applies to my finances. I'm only able to spend the money that I have in my own bank account.
BUT when two people come together, in an instant you have doubled your time and your finances. And when two additional people come into the duo, now resources have quadrupled! It's a very foundational math concept.
And today, this is our request - come together with us, so we can multiply our resources. Maybe your have only time or maybe you have only finances. God bless you if you have both! <3
Every week we are getting more requests, we are out of time and also out of finances. But the need in Los Angeles is exceedingly large. According to the 2017 findings by the Los Angeles Housing Services Authority, on any given night 57,794 people are homeless. In just one year, homelessness rose 23%. And out of the almost 58,000, 8% of them are children! Statistics also show that when a person becomes homeless, they will most likely become homeless again after being placed in housing. WHY - they lack the proper skills of how to maintain a stable household.
This is why I created the course "God before Green" (tm) course on Biblical finance and household budgeting. If you've never been in a stable household, you need to understand what it takes to have one. Otherwise it's like being handed a box of parts to a model airplane and trying to put it together properly without the instruction manual.
If we think the problem is just too big, then no lives will ever be changed. But if you believe that changing just one life has value, you will inspire others to do the same. Mother Teresa was just one woman, but within just a couple decades she changed thousands of lives and built dozen of staffed orphanages. That is the ultimate example in believing that changing one life matters.
