On occasion we have a client who is filled with anxiety. She inhibits her own ability to focus, learn, and succeed because she’s too worried about her lengthy to-do list. And this time of year, the holiday season, causes MANY people anxiety. I admit that I’ve always struggled to understand people who work themselves into a frenzy. But in my younger years, I did experience anxiety on a semi-regular basis. At Pink Pixie, we need to learn how work through it with our clients.
Romans 15:5 Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus
We remind our clients that they have two choices: They can agree with God‘s Word, or they can agree with the lies that the enemy tells them. And we simply ask them, which one do they choose? So far, 100% of the time, they choose God’s Word. So we begin to pray over them, we read scripture, we dialog. The anxiety goes away before our eyes. (However sometimes we have to do this several times in one session.) It’s really that simple. Anxiety cannot dwell in the same space where the name of Jesus is proclaimed. It’s impossible!
We teach our clients to call on the name of Jesus in all circumstances. We remind our clients to stand on God’s authority and His Word.
