Life is a non-stop and constant journey. We work, work, and work more to meet our goals and see our dreams become reality. I'm a naturally driven person, always trying to reach for the stars and trying to improve myself. When God gives me a red light I patiently wait for the green light so I can go.
It's important to remember that on one traffic light there are three light colors - green, yellow, and red. Green means go and I admit I'm happiest when God gives me the green light. I'm a do-er for sure! I enjoy going full steam ahead. The yellow light means proceed with caution. It's iimportant to remember that the yellow light doesn't mean to stop, but it's also not full steam ahead. I think that this is where most of us make judgement mistakes. Some take a yellow light as a stop light and others charge full steam ahead. Our yellow lights imply that we need to take EXTRA time with God and listen to His direction. But no mistake about it, a red light means stop. And I admit, I'm never super happy to be sitting at God's red light. If I'm not moving forward I feel stagnant but I know it's for my own protection.
Most of the women we serve get stuck at that red light. They forget that the traffic light also has yellow and green. In their minds the red light is permanent. They've heard that there can be a yellow and green but don't really believe it to be true. It's our job to show them the yellow and green. It's an important reminder that in order to keep traffic flowing, or our lives to work for the good, we must have all three colors of lights and obey their meanings.
Today Pink Pixie finally received our 501(c)(3) approval from the IRS. It felt as if it was a really long red light but today the light turned green. Whichever light you are sitting/seeing right now, just remember there are two other colors and your light will turn another color. Trust in God, and His timing, to change your light colors.
